On the Cross; He was suffocating, the pain of the nails were severe, His muscles cramped, He was bleeding from head to toe, His shoulder and wrist bones were probably out of joint, His nervous system injured beyond repair. He was tired, dehydrated, hungry and anaemic. Eventually His brain would fail and heart would both fail and rapture, thus death after six hours.
Jesus’ final words were a shout of both personal surrender and victory.
Why did He willingly and painfully die for us.
