The problem wasn’t that Jacob stole, it was that Laban and his sons were filled with envy. God’s appearance is here recorded once thru his Paran stay. Even though Laban tried to cheat Jacob, God protected him all the time. We don’t have to fear what man can do to us when God is on our side.
